Forgotten Books

‘In a world in which everything is becoming digitalised, I enjoy paper books. The feel and smell of paper, and not being dependent on battery life, is essential for me. Still, increasingly more books are being read digitally, while bookstores and libraries are disappearing and countless ‘forgotten books’ end up in the recycle bin. The opening sentences of forgotten books inspire me to create moving images. I want to place a number of these books back in the hands of eager readers, and I investigate the current possibilities with paper books. Books have so much to say… but they can’t speak for themselves.’
